Blooming everywhere elegant cherry blossoms only a moment
Haiku is a form of Japanese poem. It is short and easy to write. However, there are some essential rules that you should pay attention to if you want to write Haiku:
- A Haiku consist of 17 syllables (5 in the first row, 7 in the middle row and again 5 in the last row)
- You should include a seasonal word. This could be blossoms in spring, snow in winter, or maybe a pumpkin for autumn.
- A Haiku should include a kind of ‘break’ or a ‘cutting word’, where something changes suddenly. You could, for example, describe two contradicting aspects of one moment.
smell of hot coffee vapour rises in the air destroying snowflakes
